Learn more about swimming pool applications

AGAM efficient dehumidifier is designed for use in greenhouses and swimming halls and any other applications requiring economical dehumidification.
The system reduces humidity and practically eliminates plant diseases, induced by the condensation of leaves. The use of chemicals is drastically reduced and in most cases totally eliminated.

LHCV - Latent Heat Converter Ventilated – for energy saving in swimming halls and prevention of plant diseases in greenhouses.

AGAM is licensed by Ormat (Israel) to produce and market its Latent Heat Converter (LHC). LHC systems have operated successfully in greenhouses since 1990.
AGAM manufactures a new generation of systems, LHCV.
The system converts water vapor to heat by blowing humid air in greenhouses across a matrix wetted by hygroscopic brine. The vapor condensation heats the brine, which heats the inside air, together with the fresh air from the outside. This unique feature of latent heat conversion saves 40% of the heating energy. The system recovers all the heat of brine regeneration.
AGAM LHCV uses the same basic components of the CCAC (Combined Cycle Air Conditioner), but a brine regenerator replaces the refrigerant compressor.
This device removes water from the brine by evaporation. It regenerates the brine, recovers its heat and transfers it as sensible heat to the enclosure.

In a typical European climate, each LHCV standard unit removes 20 kg/hr of water vapor by condensation.
The heat of condensation is used to heat ambient air, which replaces the humid air inside the greenhouse. This ventilation process, together with condensation, removes a total of 40 kg/hr water vapor.
AGAM experience in rose plantations indicates that it can keep 2000 square meter of greenhouse area without ventilation at 85% humidity and save 15-20 ton of fuel each year, compared to the common practice of heating and ventilating the greenhouse.
The LHCV consumes 20,000 Kcal/h (23 kW) of heat from hot water (at 80 degrees).
The absorbed heat is then recovered, and returned into the enclosure, thus increasing the efficiency of the product.
